Even though, there is no dispute about the general trend of developing environmentally friendly new energy vehicles. However, from the actual situation, no matter from which point of view, the conditions for banning the production and sales of fuel vehicles within one or two decades are not mature.
After more than 100 years of automobile development, the demand for power system in pursuit of speed has reached a peak. Next, we have to face more difficult environmental challenges. In recent years, many countries in the world have successively announced the timetable for banning the production and sales of internal combustion engine vehicles. However, there are too many bottlenecks that cannot be broken through in terms of environmentally friendly fuel and zero emission under high power.
From the actual situation, no matter from which aspect, the conditions for banning the production and sales of fuel vehicles within one or two decades are not mature. Therefore, hybrid seems to be the best way to transition. But is that enough?
In this regard, recently, Dongfeng Nissan and China electric vehicle hundred people's Association held a seminar on automotive technology innovation and policy suggestions in the era of power diversification in Beijing, and discussed the technical trends and challenges of the future development of automotive power with many industry experts and industry representatives.
Diversified dynamic pattern into a new normal
The current situation is that under the joint action of the two driving forces of "market" and "policy", the process of electrification, intelligence and networking of China's automobile industry has been continuously promoted. The traditional dominant position of internal combustion engine has also been challenged by many new power forms such as pure electric and hybrid power. The era of diversification of automobile power has come.
In the energy saving and new energy vehicle technology roadmap (version 2.0) released last year, the "comprehensive electric drive plan" has been used to replace the "no combustion schedule" under the condition of more consideration of China's regional environment, energy structure and market acceptance, and the goal of achieving half of energy-saving vehicles and new energy vehicles by 2035 is proposed, At that time, all traditional energy power will be converted to hybrid power, so as to realize the comprehensive electric drive transformation of the automobile industry.
Zhang Yongwei, vice president and Secretary General of China electric vehicle hundred people's Association, said at the meeting that the competition in the automobile industry is very fierce. In recent years, with the rapid development of various power forms, the trend of intelligence and electric drive has been gradually clarified, and traditional automobile enterprises are also actively embracing electric drive. However, from the perspective of the market, consumers still have the actual demand for diversified power forms. Although hybrid, E-power and other technologies still need to be filled with fuel, their high thermal efficiency is still of great significance to the energy conservation and emission reduction of the whole industry.
This is also a key technical field that major car companies around the world are striving to break through. While continuously promoting the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction, it provides users with more diversified personalized choices.
Taking Dongfeng Nissan as an example, in the field of internal combustion engine, it has devoted 20 years to developing the world's only mass-produced variable compression ratio technology - VC turbo super variable engine, so as to further tap the efficiency and performance potential of internal combustion engine; In the field of pure electricity, zero emission Nissan pure electricity has accumulated technology for more than 70 years and achieved a safe driving record of more than 10 billion kilometers; In addition, the upcoming unprecedented integrated power E-power perfectly integrates the glorious history of Nissan's fuel technology for more than 90 years with the accumulation of pure electric technology, creating a power form different from the past.
It is worth mentioning that E-power, which combines mature fuel technology and electric technology, has created a technical concept completely different from the current electric drive route. E-power is an electric drive technology without charging, i.e. 100% motor drive; The "integrated power" refers to oil power generation and pure electric drive, performing their respective duties and integrating into one. The engine will not be affected by the rotation of the wheels and only play the function of power generation. Like Bev, the driving wheels are only connected by the motor. The data show that the comprehensive thermal efficiency of the engine has been technically 50%, and the fuel consumption per 100 km is as low as 2.67l.
The three technical routes are promoted together to provide users with more diversified personalized choices while continuously promoting the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction.
Indeed, although the development of new energy vehicles in China is rapid, the internal combustion engine still occupies the leading position of vehicle power system. The key to the future development of internal combustion engine lies in continuously improving thermal efficiency and tapping efficiency and performance potential. At present and for a long time to come, we will continue to undertake the important task of energy conservation and environmental protection.
"After several centuries of development, internal combustion engine technology is different from the past, and technologies such as variable compression ratio, cylinder stop technology, mean compression ignition technology and in cylinder water spray technology are changing with each passing day." Yao Chunde, director of the State Key Laboratory of internal combustion engine of Tianjin University, once said that electrification and fuel diversification will give internal combustion engine strong vitality in the future.
Standard evaluation system is the top priority
Zhang Yongwei, vice president and Secretary General of China electric vehicle hundred people's Association, pointed out that on the premise that the industry has reached an agreement on the goal of low-carbon transformation, the diversification of automobile power field is worth encouraging and conducive to the overall development and progress of the industry.
"The low-carbon of the automobile industry should not only stay at the stage of vehicle emission, but should be considered from the perspective of the whole life cycle of the automobile. As an important link linking the whole industrial chain, the main engine plant should shoulder the responsibility of promoting the low-carbon transformation of the whole industrial chain," said Zhang Yongwei.
Wang Feng, director of the new energy development department of the technology center of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger car company, further proposed that "the industry should accelerate the establishment of a standardized and unified carbon emission evaluation standard system". In March 2018, China automobile Center launched the "carbon emission evaluation of China's new energy vehicles" scheme, and plans to publish the evaluation results of a number of pure electric passenger vehicles by the end of 2018. However, a standardized and unified carbon emission evaluation standard system is still vacant.
At the same time, since the automobile industry has not yet issued a unified national standard system and management system for carbon emission, there is "no standard to rely on" to measure the level, progress and efficiency of carbon reduction and decarbonization of industries and enterprises; In order to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutralization, a series of problems such as what enterprises do and how to do are also in an embarrassing situation of "no way to start". The top-level design, technical scheme and regulatory measures on carbon emission of automobile industry need to be established and improved.
An Qingheng, director of China Automobile Industry Advisory Committee, once wrote that at present, domestic enterprises do not know how to control carbon emissions. It also calls on the competent departments and industry institutions to enable the subdivided industries and even specific enterprises to clearly understand the current value of their carbon emissions and the binding indicators in the future years.
At present, "the domestic automobile industry has established a standard system with fuel consumption and pollutant emission as the regulatory object. Although it plays a certain role in carbon emission management, it still lacks a direct carbon emission standard policy. The existing standard policy system can not fully meet the needs of the automobile industry to implement the 'double carbon' goal." Zhao Mingnan, director of green and low carbon Research Office of China automotive data, once said.
However, this issue is already on the agenda. On August 24, the Ministry of industry and information technology replied to proposal No. 1259 (Gongjiao post and telecommunications No. 175) of the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, saying that it would cooperate with relevant departments to accelerate the establishment and improvement of the automobile carbon emission standard system, and explore the establishment of the whole life cycle carbon emission standard system, including the complete automobile, key parts, vehicle materials, fuel and comprehensive utilization of resources
In addition, for ordinary consumers, the term carbon emission is still a little distant. Therefore, Wang Feng also suggested that the evaluation standard of automobile carbon emission should be aligned with PM2.5, calories and other indicators, so that ordinary consumers can easily understand it while ensuring the standard specification.
