Two recent news points to this trend.
First, the Ningde era deepened the cooperation with Tesla. On the evening of June 28, Ningde Times announced that it had signed a new agreement with Tesla on June 25, 2008. According to the agreement, Ningde times will supply lithium-ion power battery products to Tesla from January 2022 to December 2025.
Previously, in February 2020, Ningde times signed an agreement with Tesla, which agreed that Ningde times would supply lithium-ion power battery products to Tesla from July 2020 to June 2022.
The new agreement is a deepening of the cooperation agreement in February last year. The most obvious point is that the supply of lithium batteries will be greatly delayed. The original agreement will expire in June 2022, and the new agreement will not expire until December 2025.
According to the report issued by CICC, the new agreement does not agree on the Chinese market, which means that Ningde era will take the opportunity of cooperating with Tesla's global market supply to accelerate its products to the world.
As only Panasonic, LG new energy and Ningde times are Tesla's battery suppliers, the new agreement means that Ningde times, a Chinese enterprise, will nibble at the market of Panasonic and LG new energy in the global market!
Next, Renault and vision technology group's power battery company, vision power, have reached a cooperation agreement. Vision power will build a power battery factory in duey, France, to provide power batteries for Renault's pure electric vehicles and help Renault gradually move towards electrification.
It is understood that so far, most of the batteries of Renault electric cars are provided by LG new energy. With the strong intervention of Chinese enterprise vision power, LG new energy's power battery orders in Renault will be eroded by vision power.
When the second and third companies in the global power battery market, their orders will be occupied by Chinese companies, which reflects the decline of Japanese and Korean battery companies and the further growth of Chinese battery companies.
